Regional Occupational Programs (ROP) are
part of the California public school system. The purpose
of ROP is to provide students with marketable job skills
upon completion of the program. All programs are based on
job market needs.
ROP offers practical hands-on training in a lab setting
or in a local business. The programs will help students
to obtain entry-level job skills, upgrade existing skills,
or to prepare for advanced training. ROP programs teach
interviewing techniques and how to locate and retain a job.
ROP provides high quality, state-of-the-art workforce preparation
to high school students (age 16 and over) and adults. High
school student (16 or over) should register through their
school counselor. Adult students should call the ROP office
at 530-621-0123.
Transportation to ROP classes and community job-sites must
be provided/arranged by the student.
