The El Dorado County Office of Education announces Adult Education classes to be offered this fall at several locations on the Western Slope, the California Conservation Corps site in Greenwood, and in South Lake Tahoe. The Adult Education Program is new to the County Office of Education, receiving approval from the California Department of Education in March of 2006. classes will begin in September and will end in December. Classes will not be held on November 10th, 23rd, and 24th.

Career Exploration I:
This course is designed for those individuals who are interested in exploring other career or job options. This course includes interest and aptitude surveys, discussions on overcoming barriers and personal management. There is no charge for this course.

This course is designed for those individuals who are interested in exploring other career or job options. This course includes interest and aptitude surveys, discussions on overcoming barriers and personal management. There is no charge for this course. This is a class designed for individuals who need to work at their own pace. Students will meet briefly each week with the instructor.

Basic Skills in Reading and Writing: Distance Learning:
This course is designed for students who wish to improve their basic skills in reading and writing by working independently at home. This program is ideal for those students who cannot attend regularly scheduled classes. Students meet with an instructor to check out videos and workbooks at their appropriate learning level, then meet once a week with an instructor to review their progress and to determine their ability to advance to the next unit of study. This is a FREE, on-going program. Students may enter at any time.
